Studio portrait of 1309 Private (Pte) William David Sandford, 6th Reinforcements, 13th Light Horse Regiment, of Sydney, NSW. Pte Sandford enlisted on 8 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Ulysses on 27 October 1915. He returned to Australia on 5 April 1919.
