Dwarfed by tall rainforest timber of North Borneo, a lone Land Rover approaches a bend in the road known as the Devil's Elbow. This section of road way was constucted by sappers from 1 Field Squadron, Royal Australian Engineers (RAE). Due to return to Australia in the near future, 1 Field Squadron RAE will be replaced by 24 Construction Squadron, RAE who will continue the road building project. Note the felled timber along the roadside.
