Description
A road junction immediately north east of the cemetery at Pozieres. The road leads to the village of Thiepval, which was one of the principal objectives captured by the British in the fighting which took place in this area in 1916. The capture of Thiepval occurred after the Australian forces had been relieved at Pozieres. Note an unidentified building in the background (left). This is the left hand image in a two part panorama. See E01006P for the combined image.
