Description
A road junction immediately north east of the cemetery at Pozieres. The road leads to the village of Thiepval which was one of the principal objectives captured by the British in the fighting which took place in this area in 1916. The capture of Thiepval occured after the Australian forces had been relieved at Pozieres. Note an unidentified building in the background (far left). This is a digitally combined composite panorama made up of two separate images. It is only available as a digital print. The two images are also available separately at E01006A and E01006B.
