Informal portrait of 111 Sergeant (Sgt) Gilbert Thomas Meredith Roach, 1st Divisional Signals Company. Whilst at Gallipoli, Sgt Gilbert contributed sketches to the Anzac Book. He had studied at the South Australian School of Arts before the war, and continued his studies upon returning to Australia.
