Description
The 24th Battalion occupying a trench in front of Flinte Farm, dug on the morning of 4 October 1917. In the attack which preceded the capture of Broodseinde Ridge, in the Ypres Sector. The photograph was taken the day after, from the old no man's land, looking towards Flinte Farm. Note the four unidentified soldiers in the dugout in the foreground, and the others further back in the trench.
