Description
Street barricades of wheels, fencing and branches erected at Ribemont, in the Amiens sector, by the 3rd Division, on 29 March 1918. Two days before, the Division for the first time came to the Somme area, and took up a position astride the ridge between Somme and the Ancre, in the direct path of the advancing Germans, where the troops made a brilliant skirmishing advance and drove in the enemy's forward lines.
