Description

A Company, 5th Australian Pioneers in support in the Noreuil Valley, where they were engaged in the construction of light railways in the forward area to assist the attacks at Bullecourt. The valley on the right, which leads to Noreuil, was at this time a very unhealthy spot owing to enemy high-explosive and gas shells. Front to back, left to right: 2684 Private (Pte) V. V.
