Description
Brigadier General (Brig Gen) T. W. Glasgow CB CMG DSO and staff, standing at the door to the 13th Brigade Headquarters. In the early morning of the day before, the Germans attacked and captured Villers-Bretonneux, but the village was retaken as the result of the operation at night by the 13th and 15th Brigades, an exploit for which 'there is no praise too high'. Left to right: Brig Gen Glasgow; Captain (Capt) A. Nicholson MC, Staff Captain; Capt T. S. Louch MC; 'Pete' the dog; Major R. Morell DSO, Brigade Major.
