Description
View from the wood to the hill in front of Morlancourt. It was over this area, at the end of March and beginning of April 1918, that the troops of the 3rd Division operated against the advancing German forces. Note in the foreground (centre) a great coat, a rifle, webbing and tin, lying on a rock near what is possibly a dugout. This is a digitally combined composite panorama made up of two separate images. It is only available as a digital print. The two images are also available separately at E02162A and E02162B.
