A French transport, at the gun positions of the French artillery, alongside dug-outs occupied by Australian pioneers, near Villers-Bretonneux. The photograph shows a portion of the railway embankment between Villers and Amiens at the Villers end, where it was used considerably as cover despite the shelling to which it was subjected.
