Description
The battered wall, behind which a company of the 21st Battalion, on 19 May 1918, having suffered a number of casualties while lying up under the barrage and in the taking of the enemy front line, re-organised and commenced to 'mop up' the village. The building on the right is the church, around which there was considerable fighting at close quarters.
