Description
A German cooker smashed by a shell and abandoned by the enemy, near Monument Wood and Villers-Bretonneux, during the counter attack of the 13th and 15th Brigades at Villers-Bretonneux, on the night of 24 April 1918, following the German attack of the same morning, by which they advanced 2,000 yards and temporarily seized the town. The area is heavily covered with barbed wire strung between metal posts.
