Description

The Hangars in front of Villers-Bretonneux. Around this aerodrome, which fell into German hands during March, considerable fighting subsequently took place. The Australian troops persistently raided the enemy in this vicinity, and on 21 June, a party from the 37th Battalion rushed the hangars from two sides at once, routed the garrison, and wrecked the stronghold.
