Description
An unidentified sergeant looking at the undercarriage of a German 28 cm S.K. L/40 Railway Gun, captured near Harbonnieres, during the Australian advance on 8 August 1918. Note camouflage paint work. This gun later became known as the Amiens gun and was brought to Australia. The barrel is on display at the Australian War Memorial.
