Description
Unidentified men of the 8th Infantry Brigade established in the final objective for the first day's advance near the town. After an advance of about eight miles at its maximum extent, the men are occupying old French trenches. All forward of this line is German territory. The soldier at far right wearing a captured German helmet is 4020 Private Keith James Conway of the 30th Infantry Battalion or Private Smith, 30th Battalion; In front, on the right is Private Rowan, 30th Battalion.
