Description

One of a group of German High Velocity Guns captured by Australian troops near Morcourt, when there opened the great final offensive of the war. By the evening of 8 August, the Australian troops had broken into the enemy defences for about 10 000 yards, capturing 7925 prisoners, 173 guns and many hundreds of machine guns, trench mortars, and anti tank rifles.
