Four unidentified members of the 4th Battalion at Vauvillers, having a brief rest prior to moving up to the offensive operations in the Lihons area where stiff resistance to the Australian advance was then being encountered. The men are here seen delousing their vermin infected clothing, a process called in Army parlance `chatting'.
