An outpost of the 51st Australian Battalion, 13th Platoon, D Company, established above the Somme Canal before Bray. The burst of an enemy shell can be seen on the right. Identified on the left are: Lieutenant E. Wicks MC (back), and Private G. Chaplin (in front of Wicks). The other men are unidentified.
