Description
The entanglements between Lormisset Farm and Mushroom Quarry in the Masnieres-Beaurevoir system, behind the main Hindenburg Line. This system was well wired, but with trenches only a few inches deep. A few hundred yards to the rear of this line of wire were many underground anti-tank gun and machine gun posts in communications by buried telephone cable with a convenient and inconspicuous observation post. The road in the right background leads to Gouy.
