Description
View of the interior of the clothing store at the Australian Ordnance Corps Depot, located in the old Cavalry Barracks. Large holes similar to those in the photograph had been made in all the supporting walls by the Germans, who had designed the whole structure to collapse as soon as the mines, which they had laid, exploded. A considerable portion of the building escaped complete destruction. Identified, left to right: unidentified; Private W. Attneave, in charge of the Bulk store; Butterworth (sitting on the jackets); an unidentified customer (in the next room).
