Lagnicourt, France. 16 September 1917. A corner of the ruins of Lagnicourt, well known to Australians who were engaged in the fighting for Bullecourt in April 1917. The photograph was taken on 16 September 1917, when the route directions were still visible on the walls of a building which had escaped destruction.
