A large group of unidentified Australian troops resting along the town's moat and ramparts. The following day marked the entry of Australian troops into the Third Battle of Ypres, with the 1st and 2nd Australian Divisions taking part in operations. The entrances to the dugouts, built into the ramparts, can be seen behind the soldiers.
