Description
An unidentified Australian fatigue party engaged in salving wire from an abandoned prisoner of war cage. Colour patches indicate several soldiers are members of the 2nd Division Headquarters. On the right are barbed wire barriers and on the left are tangled piles of salvaged wire. In the background two soldiers are winding the salvaged wire on an improvised winch fashioned out of timber poles. Note corrugated iron buildings in the background and behind the barbed wire barriers.
