Description
Unidentified members of an Australian burial party (background) preparing to inter the bodies of several German prisoners, two days after the night attack by the 13th and 15th Australian Infantry Brigades which dislodged the German forces from their newly-captured positions in this area (including Villers Bretonneux). The prisoners had been killed the previous morning by a German shell while being escorted to a prisoner of war cage.
