Description
Unidentified members of an Australian burial party standing amongst the bodies of several German prisoners killed the previous morning by a German shell while being escorted to a prisoner of war cage. The prisoners were captured at Villers Bretonneux on 24-25 April during the night counter attack by the 13th and 15th Australian Infantry Brigades which drove the German forces from the town.
