A footbridge across the Ancre River built by the 6th Field Company of Engineers and used by the 24th Battalion in their attack at Ville-sur-Ancre on 19 May 1918. In the background is the Dernancourt Casualty Clearing Station. Note in the foreground a timber platform floating in the water.
