Description

A view of exterior of the Amiens Cathedral showing the shell hole in the roof on the right of the spire. The cathedral could be seen for many miles and was used by the German artillery as an aiming point for their shelling of the city. Note the sky has been opaqued. A similar image is held at E04891.
