Description
Unidentified members of a burial party, possibly British, having a break, while burying bodies of various Colonial and British troops collected from the German lines in the vicinity of Villers-Bretonneux. Each grave is marked with a wooden cross, as illustrated by the row of crosses on the far right. Note the improvised wooden wheelbarrow in the foreground (centre).
