An exterior view of the damaged Medical Dressing Station which was taken over by the Australians ...
Description
An exterior view of the damaged Medical Dressing Station which was taken over by the Australians from the 27th American Division on 29 September 1918. This station was used by the Australians for approximately one week during operations in the Hindenburg Line near Bellicourt. A standard Advanced Dressing Station was also established here. The walking wounded were treated in tents about 200 yards away and entrained as soon as a sufficient number had collected. Note the station is heavily sandbagged.
