Description
An outdoors group portrait of unidentified officers, NCOs and men of the 6th Australian Motor Transport Column in a town street. The group is gathered near trucks, cars and a motorcycle. Several soldiers are in a makeshift supply depot (right), sitting on sacks of potatoes and crates of food, including 'Heinz' tomato soup. The two dogs included with the group are probably mascots. Note several civilian onlookers, a Belgian girl in a doorway (left) and two men (centre, left). This panorama is one of a series taken by the Australian War Records Section with a 'Cirkut' camera.
