Description
The ship's mascot dog stands next to a 6 inch gun aboard the light cruiser HMAS Brisbane. In the background is an unidentified sailor. This ship was the first cruiser, and at the time the largest warship, to be built in Australia; she was also the first in the RAN to operate an aircraft (a Sopwith Baby seaplane).
