Description

Australian and British newspaper editors and war correspondents visit the Australian forces in France, where they view and enter old trenches near Biaches and watch artillery barrages laid down by the Australian artillery in the Mont St Quentin sector. The press later viewed the tank school and the dog training school at the Base Depot Etaples. Field Marshal Earl Haig gave the party, which included Mr Geoffrey Fairfax and Sir Keith Murdoch, an interview. The party then travelled by motor car to Arras where they viewed the ruined cathedral.
