Blamey reviews the 18th Brigade and the 24th Brigade
Description
General Sir Thomas Blamey reviews three separate parades of troops of which the 18th Brigade and the 24th Brigade have been confirmed. In the last scene with sound General Blamey addresses the men as "men of the 24th Brigade" and VX25 Brigadier A H L Godfrey DSO, MC the 24th Brigade Commander is also present. Cameraman for 18th Brigade review Damien Parer (unconfirmed - the film dope sheets include a letter to Bereton in which Parer states that he filmed Blamey with the 18th Brigade on 12 September 1941. The 18th Brigade Unit War Diary AWM 52 8/2/18 indicates that General Blamey reviewed the Brigade on 11 September 1941. Still photographs of the review have been attributed to George Silk.)
