Description
An incident of 1941 involving Private J Johnston of the Black Watch of Canada, Corporal W Atkinson 2nd AIF, Private R Gilbert 2nd NZEF and a passer by played by Leslie Howard. The passer by questions the men as to their background and why they enlisted to fight for Britain. He comes to the conclusion it is because they are all idealists. The incident originated with Leslie Howard and A G Macdonald.
