Description
On 2 July 1944 Alamo Force (Sixth Army) landed on Noemfoor Island on coastal strip adjoining Kamiri Airfield. They were supported by 503rd U.S. paratroopers. No.13 Survey & Design Unit, RAAF, landed with Alamo Force. Shows the pre-landing naval bombardment, landing and consolidation by 503rd Paratroop Regiment, American 27th Engineer Combat Battalion personnel, members of No. 13 Survey & Design Unit, RAAF, Flight Lieutenant R. Taylor, No. 3 Bomb Disposal Unit, RAAF.
