Lancaster build up (ROC 86)
Description
Lancaster bomber of No. 467 Squadron RAAF returning to base. Squadron Leader (Sqn/Ldr) Deigan discusses operations with crew. Sergeant brings in form 700 for pilots to sign. Sqn/Ldr Deigan with his crew at tail of Lancaster prior to cross country trip. Checking up course with a Dalton. Crew gathered in front of the aircraft studying maps. Lancaster prepares for take off with wheel chocks removed by ground crew. Close up of Lancaster "S" for Sugar's nose showing bomb mission markings and quote "No enemy plane will fly over Reich territory".
