Description

RAF Bomber Command operational film No 263 of daylight raid on Cologne (Köln). Identified unit is 346 Squadron (Free French) RAF operating Handley Page Halifax heavy bombers. Various shots of Halifax and Lancaster bombers. A long shot of the target being bombed. The bomb drop from the film unit's aircraft. Flak bursts and a massive mid air explosion. Possibly a direct hit on a bomber or bombs prematurely exploding. Film unit aricraft was piloted by Flight Lieutenant Skelton.
