Exercise "Jantzen"
Description
A British military training film produced for the War Office by AKS Crown copyright, approved October 1943. This film is a record of an exercise the main object of which was to practice beach maintenance and particularly, beach group maintenance, development of a force maintenance area, various methods of loading and unloading coasters and the construction of an advanced landing ground. The exercise also provided opportunities for practicing the movement of troops from concentration areas, through assembly and transit areas to embarkation points. It shows the various methods of transportation, landing and organization required for amphibious assault.
