Description

A military training film produced by Gee Films Ltd. A description of the water tank truck, Trailer, Portable Filtering Apperatus and the work of water duty personnel. The introduction of this film shows various sources of water supply (Town, Stream, Ponds, etc.) and possible contamination of the water. Commentary covers diseases caused from contaminated water. Equipment is then shown with a description of the 15-cwt water tank truck, 15-cwt water tank trailer. A medical officer illustrates the method of selecting a suitable site for the collection of water in the field and the testing of the supply for poison or gas contamination. A full description then follows of the duties of the 15-cwt water tank crew, illustrating the method of filtering, purification and distribution. A portable filtering unit, its assembly and operation is also shown together with the method of purification of the contents of individual water bottles.
