Hiroshima Atom Bomb commemoration service
Description
Dedicated to peace, Hiroshima's second peace festival was officially opened with impressive and picturesque ceremony. The Commander-in-Chief BCOF, 34 (VX21321, VX80578) Lieutenant General Horace Clement Hugh Robertson CBE DSO, the Australian Parliamentary Delegation and 25 (NX1) Brigadier Ronald Godfrey Howy Irving OBE, have seats of honour on the dais. Mr J Francis (Liberal Party, QLD), Minister for the Army, was presented with a bouquet by Japanese woman. A massed student choir sang the peace song. A view of Exhibition Gallery which has been left unrepaired as a monument.
