Mr Francis' visit to Japan & Korea December 1951 DPR/S/8
Description
The Australian Minister for the Army the Honourable Josiah Francis arrived at Iwakuni on 20 December 1951 to begin a tour of Australian forces in Japan and Korea. He spent Christmas Day with 3 RAR troops in Korea. The Minister's party included Mr F R Sinclair, secretary for the Department of the Army, Mr C A Nicol, Director Public Relations and Mr Mils, Private Secretary to the Minister. Other identified personnel include: O316 Group Captain Anthony George Carr, AFC Commander 91 (Composite) Wing RAAF, Wing Commander K S Hennock, 36 (VX38969) DFC Lieutenant General William Bridgeford & Brigadier Rockingham.
