Phuoc Tuy Province, South Vietnam. April 1970. Flag Officer Commanding the Australian Fleet, Rear Admiral H. D. Stevenson (right), gains an insight into infantry operations during a visit to Fire Support Base (FSB) Pat. He is speaking to the Commanding Officer of 6RAR /NZ (ANZAC) (The ANZAC Battalion comprising 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment and a component from the 1st Battalion, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment), Lieutenant Colonel David Butler of Townsville, Qld. The Rear Admiral's stop at FSB Pat was part of a five-day visit to the war zone during which he also visited Australian Navy pilots at Bearcat airbase and HMAS Vendetta, working with the US 7th Fleet off the coast of Vietnam.
