Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. 26 April 1915. Looking towards the southern end of Ari Burnu beach showing the crowd at the Supply Depot and Clearing Station (Medical). A working party was at the time on the skyline, probably under shrapnel fire which necessarily had to be ignored during the early days of the occupation of the Peninsula. During the landing at Anzac Cove the troops were enfiladed from a trench situated on the knoll (centre).
