Description
Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. 3 May 1915. North Beach, the left flank, looking down from Plugge's Plateau. It can be seen how Anzac Cove was overlooked by Suvla Point. There was always a fear in these days that the Turks would get guns on to the point and fire into our beach from the rear. The pencilled line shows our line on Walker's Ridge.
