Description

Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. 22 May 1915. There were between 2000 and 3000 Turkish dead lying in No Mans Land and the Turks asked for an armistice in order to bury them. The Turkish envoy, with a white flag, is seen coming along the beach at Gaba Tepe.
