Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. 1 June 1915. The Garland bomb mortar in action at Quinn's Post, Anzac. This mortar threw a bomb with a white calico tail. A bomb was disappearing over the triangular stick, which served as an aiming post, at the time the photograph was taken.
