Description

One of the three classes of warships that began to reappear off Anzac, Gallipoli Peninsula. They were monitors of a very shallow draft, mounted with two or three big guns. The first of these to arrive was the Humber. An 8-inch gun was mounted forward, and a 6-inch gun aft.
