Description
Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. c. 30 June 1915. The war correspondents were forced to pay periodical visits to Imbros, Greece. The journeys were generally made on the G.H.Q. torpedo boat, which did the trip in one hour and a quarter. Advantage was taken by the Australian correspondent of these visits to obtain panoramic views of Anzac, Helles, and Suvla. This photograph shows portion of the coast on which fighting was going on.
