Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. 25 July 1915. This photograph depicts one of the many difficulties with which our troops were confronted on Gallipoli. Before bringing in troops for the big battle of August, it was necessary to provide stores of water. A great platform was levelled for tanks above Anzac Cove, and troops are seen slewing a tank into position after having dragged it up the hill.
